45 YEARS OF UPLIFTING AND AFFIRMING COMMUNITY THROUGH SONG

June 19th, Giving Day for the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus, represents 45 years of performances. This day is a powerful opportunity for supporters to make a meaningful impact in advancing the chorus’s mission of performing music that honors and uplifts our community and affirms the worth of all people. Your contribution helps sustain vibrant performances, inclusive outreach programs, and vital educational initiatives that foster acceptance and visibility. On this special day of generosity, you can help ensure that the Chorus can continue to be a bold voice for equity, creativity, and connection—on stage and beyond.

Annual Wall of Wine Returns

Your purchase of a raffle ticket has incredible impact. In addition to a chance to win hundreds of dollars of wine, your support helps us continue to provide:

  1. A season of songs with performances that highlight familiar songs and world premiere music for you to enjoy, and
  2. Community outreach to change lives, hearts, and minds, to offer a counter-narrative to what are often negative stereotypes about our community, and
  3. Social Justice and Advocacy to show our solidarity with you as the 2SLGBTQ+ face unprecented attempts to render us invisible.

Approximately 30% of our chorus members are lower-income or on government assistance and PGMC wants to ensure that no member is barred from singing with us due to lack of funds.  In these tumultuous times for the queer community, we need to come together more than ever to create the music you love to hear!
